Re: 2018 LPGA thread
Seriously people, women's golf is such a nice breath of fresh air after the stuffiness and hand-wringing and pompousness of a men's Major, especially Masters. A nice reminder that in the grand scheme of things, professional golf is just another jerkoff TV show to watch, whose outcome has no bearing whatsoever on real actual life.jasonfish11 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 9:53 amYeah I bet they won't say "pageantry" as much in those 16 hours though.legitimatebeef wrote: ↑Wed Apr 11, 2018 9:03 amThat's 16 hours of live coverage. Re: 2018 LPGA thread
Does Lydia Ko still get mentioned a lot? She has plenty of time to get her game back but she has been in a bit of a slump, yes?
Let's Play 36
GHIN Handicap: 7.8 … 9.2 … Let’s just say I am around a 14!

The LPGA comes at you live from the 51st state of the union. Birthplace of Michelle Wie, Barack Obama and other historical figures.
I don't have the energy to hype this one up. Sorry. I have lost faith in all of you as fans of women's golf. So I will just leave these TV times and be on my way.![]()

I just discovered recently that Survivor is still on. I watched seasons 2 through 5 or 6, way back a million years ago.

This LPGA shit is a literal snoozefest, so far at least. I am an LPGA fan but man, LPGA in windy conditions, I don't know man. Kind of sucks.

NEW EVENT ALERT!!!
The inaugural LPGA LA Open is already upon us. Anticipation is pretty high, let me tell you. This course is very near to LA's massive K-town, so expect a wild ruckus atmosphere. This has the makings of the biggest turnout for the LPGA, in the mainland US at least.

Re: 2018 LPGA thread
I have a buddy that's going to that. I was sort of interested for a minute, but the thought of dealing with the aggravation and congestion of getting there to watch lady golf put me off. It's cool that it's a new venue. I'll watch it on TV, maybe attend another year, maybe.
Re: 2018 LPGA thread
I'm confused. I just read an article about Paula in the May 2018 edition of GOLF Magazine. It was a Q & A article. There were questions about her being married for three years and how she met her husband. About having a family, blah, blah blah. I thought they split up a couple months ago. I would have thought GOLF would have been able to kill the story before going to print in this day and age of high tech print publishing. Not one mention of any trouble in Paradise in the article. Hmmmm.legitimatebeef wrote: ↑Sun Mar 18, 2018 11:51 amNo response here whatsoever. People are so cold.legitimatebeef wrote: ↑Mon Mar 12, 2018 1:02 pmBreaking News

Re: 2018 LPGA thread
It is rather disturbing how quickly and decisively the media has scrubbed Paula from the records. Yes it is true she has been sucking for a while but so have a lot of other players and yet they don't get the blackball for it. She must have done something to piss people off. Otherwise there is no reasonable explanation for the glaring silence. Paula is still a (golf) household name. A headline like "PAULA CREAMER SPLITS WITH HUSBAND" is very juicy, and yet no media entity is going near it. Fishy!

Re: 2018 LPGA thread
After reviewing the story again this morning, I went to the "...full, exclusive interview with Paula Creamer..." at the printed link shown in the sidebar of the printed story, Golf.com/roundwith. It's a feature they do every month called A Round With...(plug in player's name here). When you go to the page online, there are many different players with whom they did a Round with interview. Interestingly, the one with Paula Creamer---the one that the latest Golf Magazine tells you to go to---is nowhere to be found.
