Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
Well, things were interesting through the 12th hole. Then there was a slight pause in the march to victory.

I don't care what anyone says. Tiger Woods is making golf on tv great tolerable again.
Build a bridge and get over it.

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
Ugh Hideki day and dechamblugh in the last few groups. Wonder what the commentators will do to fill the 15 minutes between shots?
Keep it short stupid.
Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
Tiger WAS tied for the lead a few minutes ago. Back a couple now to 5 under for the day.
Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
So he missed a few short putts, which really hurt, but he is still in this thing.

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
I'm not sure if it was just this 1 putt. But Kyle Stanley's putting stroke makes me want to puke.
It looked like 2 pieces. Backstroke to impact, a slight pause then a follow through.

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
Nice that they're starting early. They should start every final round this early if you ask me. Get the shit done with and out of the way, instead of making everyone wait until late afternoon and then carrying on until early evening. Who do you think you are? You are golf on TV, you are not so important as to be cutting into everyone's dinner time.
Build a bridge and get over it.
Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
Personally, I'd rather play golf in the mid-late morning to mid-afternoon and then sit and watch the 2nd nine of the tournament at 4 or 5 'til 7 at the clubhouse bar or home comfortable on my couch. I hate watching TV during the middle of the day when I can be outside playing golf or whatever.

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
I've never seen tiger putt so poorly. He's lost 6 strokes to the field this week and is 6 of the lead. That's just insane.
I think in 2005 he was something like 280 for 280 from inside 5'. No misses. He's missed 5 or more so far this week from inside 5'

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
Yeah, that was a bit disheartening. He was terrible on short putts. He would have been in it.
I hate that Dechambois won this thing. Anyone but him. Can't stand that swing, or his higher than mighty attitude about it.

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
I'm not sure who I dislike more dechamblows. Or can't pull the trigger cantlay. It was so painful watching either of their pre shot routines. I'm pretty sure I heard Nick faldo snoring in during one of Cantlays waggles.

That group should have been put on the clock before they teed off.
I'm amazed they took them off the clock on 15.

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
My preliminary picks for the US Open are leaning towards Fowler at 18-1 and Fleetwood at 40-1 to win.
I will stand in the fairway, I want to be out of your range.

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
Oh wow Fleetwood (Mr FW and GIR) is 40-1?
There might actually be some value there.

Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
Looks like Revenge of the USGA. Wish I could watch - say one hole. The wind is blowing and the course is hard.
Re: 2018 PGA Tour Thread
Loving it so far. Makes me feel better about the rough I had to deal with at WM a few weeks back. It was unplayable, but at least I had fairways that were a lot more findable and greens that were still healing (and somewhat slow) from aeration. Between the wind and rough at Shinnecock today, I would bet there are only 5 or 6 players who sneak in under par in the morning wave. Hoping the afternoon wind dies down a bit for my boy Tiger. These tight fairways are definitely not something he needs. And, his back does not need this rough. I hope he plays smart....for his score and his ailing back.
