RIP to the original Tiger mom. Because we live in a patriarchal society, Earl always gets the credit, but Tiger has always been clear about who was the disciplinarian in that house. Come on man. Golf is mainly discipline.

R.I.P. to the Tiger thread

Post by bkuehn1952.2 »

Torn Achilles tendon. Another year without El Tigre, even just playing simulator golf. He is done playing with the kids. If he recovers, he likely would find it hard to be competitive on the Champions Tour.

I am imposing on myself a Tiger news blackout.

I think you are right. This feels like a definitive end of the road.

Back when I was young and stupid, and Tiger Woods was winning championships and hearts, I thought the guy could end up as President of the United States someday. And then the world got all messy and complicated, and I thought of myself as really stupid for ever entertaining such thoughts. But now somehow, I am back to thinking it could happen. Not trying to be funny here. Sadly this is a sincere post.

He's taking time off from golf to concentrate on his health.

I think that's code for going to rehab for his oxy addiction.
