2019 US Open @ Pebble Beach

Post by jasonfish11 » Tue Jun 11, 2019 1:55 pm

Not sure how much I'm going to watch of this. I am going to a pig roast on Saturday, and Sunday I don't really know what I'm doing. Going to spend time with the wife and son this weekend because I'm heading to LA for work next week.

@srogers13 what lines are you taking on this one? Can you get lines on who wins top amateur, that would be a fun bet?
Keep it short stupid.

I'm pickin' 5-time Masters Champion Tiger, Ricky and Koepka. 5-time Masters Champion Tiger because I WANT him to win. Ricky because he's always in the mix and is due to break through. And Koepka because, well, he's Koepka. Who's better?

At the moment I got Fowler 25-1 to win and van Rooyen at 13-1 for top 10, along with a coupe of tournament head to head matchups.

I do not see any top amateur odds at my site.
I will stand in the fairway, I want to be out of your range.

They do offer top American, European, Asian, Australian, and GB&Ireland props, though.

West coast events kind of suck for us Easterners. 5-time Masters Champion Tiger Woods not teeing off until after 5pm. Which is alright because it overlaps with happy hour and shit. But I prefer watching golf on TV in the early part of the day, get it overwith and still have the rest of the day. That's why the 2019 Masters was one of the greatest wins ever. They started super early and were finished before, what, 2pm?

The Masters was a bit outside the norm, as they moved up the last round to avoid the weather that was worsening in the afternoon... I don't care at what time those events run, because I DVR them and watch them later, skipping all the commercials. I think I record pretty much every round of every PGA tourney, but of course I don't watch it all. Well... some weeks, I do. :facepalm :thumbs
I'm gonna go low this time...

Mr. Woods appears to have putted himself out of the tournament. I really hope Brooks Koepka does win this thing. His "bomb & gouge" approach is perfect for the meathead golf fan but the guy is boooorrrrrrring.

There is a time to give up hope. That time is not now. 5-time Masters Champion Tiger shot a Saturday 65 the last time this crummy event came to Pebble Beach. If this were a year ago then sure, pack it in. But this is the reigning Masters Champion 5-time Masters Champion Tiger we are talking about. :thumbs Our work is not done yet, tards.

Got a dreadful, inevitable feeling about the Brooksmeister. He is going to confidence the fuck out of this shit. Game over.

Dreaming of a Chez win though, you know it. It's been a long while since some loser won a major title. Seems like an increasingly rare feat in this age of the modernass hyperathlete. Chez winning would literally be like a literal David and Goliath situation.

T3 for Chez. Fuck yeah. I hope this opens the floodgates and leads to many more T3's in majors for the Chezmeister.

Chez likes pebble. He had a t2 at the 2018 Pro-Am.

It must be nice having a courses number like that.

I felt a bit mean for hoping Koepka would fall on his face. He is just so mellow and perfect. :puke

Of course, Gary Woodland is hardly Mr. Dynamic. At least he appears to have a bit of a paunch around the middle.

Mr. Woods partially redeemed himself with a great final 12 holes. It was painful watching him play 1 thru 6. :facepalm
