Pulled a chest muscle at FedEx. I thought I was having a mild heart attack at first but thankfully that wasn't it.

Terrible night sleep because no matter how I lay, it hurts. No sim tomorrow, just rest and a heating pad.

I am so glad it wasn't a heart attack. Those are really inconvenient.

I hear you. Having had back pain in the past, the interruption of sleep is the worst. Let's hope for a speedy recovery.

Yes they are. My uncle has had one, my grandfather had 7, yes, 7 and my Dad was finished off with his only one.

It's better today but still some pain so I'm taking it easy today and hope that it will be OK for next Sundays session.

Get yourself some of that newly legal Ohio cannabis to help with sleep. IMO.

I had a medical card because of my back and it really didn't help at all, plus I don't like the feeling of not having control that it gave me.

Bourbon works for me.

The chest is feeling a lot better now after only a couple of days, could have been a lot worse.

Not getting off that easy MattF. 1) Alcohol is a proven sleep disrupter and B) non-psychoactive cannabis products (specifically for aiding sleep) are widely available! You probably heard of "CBD" or possibly "CBN". Worth a try. Believe me I like alcohol as much as the next guy (assuming that guy doesn't brew his own). But it is not good for sleep. Good for falling asleep maybe. But not for deep restful sleep. Full disclosure, I am not fully sold on the efficacy of CBD or CBN. I mainly just like promoting cannabis and cannabis products.

I tried CBD and medical weed, not for me mate.

The CBD didn't help with my back and the weed, well, I already told you those effects.

I guess I'm just not cut out for the medical mary jane and that's OK.

Real grumble today - I'm a big believer in leaving the flagstick in. I truly believe that it helps more often than it hurts and it's a higher percentage play than taking the flag out.

Today on the par 3 #8, I had about 40 feet for birdie. My putt tracked perfectly towards the hole, when one of my buddies decides on his own to tend the flag and pulls the stick. The putt goes straight down the middle, hits the back of the hole, and lips out. There's no doubt in my mind that with the flag in the putt falls.

Injured again. Completely new problem area for me. Left hip joint. No idea how I injured it, nor what exactly is the problem, but can barely walk. Been nearly three weeks since my last round of golf. Began to notice initial pain right after finishing up that round, not during it. I thought it would clear up in a day or two. It has only gotten worse and worse the more I walk. I now have a very apparent limp, no matter how hard I try to hide it. It freakin' hurts on every step I take. And not just a little discomfort. As the day wears on, every step is painful.

This year, I had finally been making a little progress trying to find my game. I had my body in better shape, having lost the extra 15 pounds I had gained over the past two years of being sidelined. For the past three or four months I was stretching most days and doing golf specific strengthening a few days a week, too. My full swing was feeling consistent and my touch around the greens with my wedges was returning. My distance off the tee was back to a quite respectable level. I was beginning to think I might be able to be a decent senior player once again. And now, AGAIN, I am back on the DL for who knows how long.

I need an MRI, diagnosis and a path to recovery ASAP. Finding an orthopedic specialist around here is easy. Finding one with highly favorable patient reviews who can see you right away, is a much bigger challenge. And I am running out of patience.
