Re: What did you shoot today?
I have not been playing well. The last couple rounds, however, saw me swinging well and just not scoring (81 and 81). I feel confident my decent ball striking will yield some good golf scores soon.

Finished 2nd low gross in the super Senior flight of the OECL tournament (Observer & Eccentric City of Livonia championship. I won last year but my nemesis, Bill Himm, got the better of me this year. He shot 71/76 and I did 79/76. Everyone else was 160+ and Himm pretty much won it on day 1. Traditionally I play better on day 1 at Fox Creek and Himm surges at Whispering Willows on day 2. Not this year.

Well @bkuehn1952.2 you played better than I did.
My rebuild with lessons is playing havoc with my game. Shot 98 at Windmill on Sunday. Found the driver on and that was the highlight.

After showing signs of snapping out of it I went right back into slumping bad ball striking mode this weekend. 39 (Good!), 82, 81 - 45 official holes, only 13 GIR's despite having a short iron or wedge on almost every hole. On the flip side, my short game is totally rocking. 14 up and downs in 45 official holes - yes, more scramble pars than from GIRs. The scrambles included another chip-in for birdie and a +40 footer putt for par. But totally exasperated by the iron play.
Monday I declared it a practice round and played worse, although again I had two scrambles that would have impressed a tour pro. Father Time is catching up to me - I think this may be my last try at playing four days in a row, or at least walking four days in a row. Totally zapped this morning.

I have heard that it takes a minimum of 6 months to learn a new physical activity. Stick with it. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

46/41 87 at Sugar Bush in Garretsville yesterday. Ball striking on the back was so much better and my driver was not too shabby.

Re: What did you shoot today?
My last tournament of the year was Thursday. Shot 79, which was nice, but I followed a familiar pattern. No birdies despite a number of good opportunities. Slow start with a bogey and a double. Too many guys with low scores so once again, a 7th or so finish out of the money. Net 71 was good but not good enough. No “Tournament of Champions” for me this year.
Re: What did you shoot today?
Very ordinary 47/45 92 at Windmill. I now hit a draw apparently, which was a surprise.

I'm going through a swing change via lessons plus, as I work 2 jobs Monday to Friday, I haven't had a chance to get on the ST+ for a while. No practice doesn't help.legitimatebeef wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 8:15 amHey Matt, I must say, your scoring as of late has not been a ringing endorsement of the Skytrak+. I had high hopes. Please explain.
I will be hitting the range and probably playing 18 on it tomorrow.
Played at Ashland Country Club yesterday, 46/43 89. Some good some poor, that's golf.
