Shit, I watched like five hours of this fuckin shit yesterday and now the bottom has dropped out of my interest level. Rory who I thought had leveled up after winning last year, now looks like the same old anxious dweeb as ever. He is one of the great ballstrikers--of ALL TIME! But as a competitor, he is rather ordinary. Tiger must watch this shit on TV and slap his forehead all day long. Rory pretty much talked himself after the second round into losing. Convinced himself that losing this time, would be A-OK.

I really miss the old Tiger days. Truly a bygone era. Once that guy got anywhere near the lead, it was throat-stepping time! I just looked up that shit. Tiger Woods is 55-4 when leading after 54 or even tied. And he is 44-2 with the outright lead. That is the kind of competitive intensity made Tiger such an entertaining show. I'll watch the final round but find myself with no shits to give about who wins. Very slight preference for Lowry because he is euro. Otherwise do not care! Was rooting for Rory after two rounds but now I would be annoyed if he won. Quite the gutless performance yesterday. Of course losing is OK. But you don't come out and say it in your interview. Jesus Christ!

I watched but didn't particularly enjoy it. You could say that nobody really stepped up to Rory, who only managed even par for the whole weekend.

Something I realized about this tournament. The pomp and circumstance are off the charts level. So, anyone who would dare to win this shit, must be ready to take on all that nonsense. Cheesing it up on "Good Morning America", whipping up a dinner menu for all the old Masters champions, becoming an honorary member of some old-money good old boys club in the deep south...I imagine it is all pretty terrifying stuff, for most people, even those who play golf in front of other people for a living. So while everyone talks about how great it would be to win this tournament, it's not everyone's cup of tea. Winning it is probably awesome, but also seems like a major pain in the ass.

I didn't see shot, just saw the results.

Televised sports bores me to death so I just don't watch.

I watched the last hour. Rory did seem to be trying to lose. As others have said, I seem to have lost any desire to watch golf. Play? Absolutely. Watch? Zzzzzzzzz.

Man I wish I could join you all in golf fandom exile. I still like watching them whack it. The more I improve at it the more I appreciate seeing it done really well. But then again I enjoy watching all the shots in between, good, mediocre and bad. I find now that I can tell a lot more about a shot outcome just based on the swing, tempo, follow through and body language. As far as competition goes though, Scheffler is the only current player who recalls actual Tiger. Just totally in the moment, focused, never overwhelmed by the occasion. The most important shot is the next one mentality. Rory is like one of the worst. He appears to think many shots ahead of himself. Which I guess makes for its own kind of entertainment. This year it was also fun to watch Dechambeau struggle hard, even with basic type of golf shots.
