Summer 2026

Post by legitimatebeef »

Currently this is the worst weather I ever saw in California. For context I lived here from birth to 2001, 25 years. I moved back here in 2021, so I've been here for the last five.

Peak summers would sometimes get very hot but they were strictly dry, both atmosphere and precipitation. I never knew of summer rain or even humidity until I left for New York. This year still no rain as usual but the humidity is intense and persistent in a new kind of way. Humid days have been the norm for July and August. Low temps above 70 for a while now. I know that we still have it great here conditions wise but still this new climate has affected me. Feel more lethargic and depressed.

Is climate change concern and activism dead in 2026? Feels like it.
