Re: What did you buy today?

I got a new driver. My first driver in the adjustable era. It is a Mizuno ST-G 440. Kind of a weird choice. But it is well recommended. I did not feel like going with one of the populist choices. That Callaway Taylormade Titleist hegemony. Callaway and TM, their marketing is always so fuckin stupid ...

Re: 2025 - PGA/LIV/DPT/LPGA Tours

It is finally here. The Ryder Cup has come to Bethpage, New York. I have feared this event ever since I first learned of it many years ago. The Ryder Cup perennially is a potential powderkeg of bad sportsmanship, waiting for a spark. But this year has the potential to be the most horrible sports ...

Re: What did you buy today?

I managed to liquidate the Garmin. Nicely surprised by the resale value. This is not the end of my launch monitor journey. It's just not the time right now. I need an indoor space before I can get really interested.

For a birthday Mrs Beef got me Therabody "Jetboots" from the makers of Theragun ...

Re: What did you buy today?

Once again not a purchase, this time the opposite of a purchase. Listing my Garmin launch monitor on eBay. I used it a couple times but it just never took. It was a birthday gift from Mrs Beef so I hate to sell it but it has been sitting unused for almost two years. Better that I buy something I ...

Opinion: golf commentators say too much

Why the perpetual need to tell you while the ball is mid-air where the shot is going to end up? It's like they are just trying to flex their own observational abilities, how they can tell what kind of shot it is just by the strike. This does nothing for the viewer. And actually, it kills a lot of ...

Re: The People At The Driving Range Thread

Today on the practice green some guy pulled up and started hitting putts left-handed and knock-kneed. Okay fine whatever. Then a few minutes later his apparent teenage son joins him on the green, and he starts putting left-handed and knock-kneed. Abuse!

Re: The People At The Driving Range Thread

Saw another barefoot bozo today. Actually it was quite the showcase out there on the range. A shit-showcase. Just all manner of suckage and shitty homebrewed methodology on display. Along with some of the most misguided misinformed chatter you will ever overhear. You want to see what is wrong with ...

Re: The People At The Driving Range Thread

I thought you had a sim/launch monitor and a net?

You could avoid the range, the people and the shitty balls using one instead.

It doesn't, as the kids these days say, hit the same way! That's a good point about balls though. Our range has about 50% of balls in sound condition, the rest are ...
